Due to the spread of COVID-19 and our efforts to minimize access to our school buildings, no parents will be allowed to walk to the classroom with their children on the first day(s) of school. Because of this restriction, we will utilize a staggered school opening ONLY for students entering Pre-K and Kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year.
For us, a staggered opening will mean that approximately one-third of the students in each class will attend school on August 18, a different third of the students will attend on August 19, and the final third of the students will attend on August 20. All Pre-K and Kindergarten students will begin regular daily attendance on August 21 with traditional drop-off procedures.
On your child’s first day of school, you may walk him/her to the outside door of the school. You should wait with your child until school personnel meets you and individually escorts your child to his/her classroom. You will not be allowed to enter the building to walk your child to the classroom. Students who arrive by bus will be greeted at the bus by school personnel.
The school where your child is registered will contact you to let you know which day will be your child’s staggered start date and give specific directions for the day. If you have questions, please contact the school your child will attend.
