Parent Resources

"Taking the Time to Make a Difference"

Woodstock Elementary School recognizes the importance of parental involvement for the success for the child. The child's education is a responsibility shared by the school and family. Woodstock Elementary is committed to building a strong parent-school partnership. A variety of events for parents will be offered during the school year, including parenting workshops/activities, volunteer programs, parent visitation days, parent conferences, "Donuts for Dad", "Muffins for Moms", parent planning and evaluation meetings.

Parent Volunteer Program

Parent and family volunteers are always needed! An hour a week or a few hours a month of your time to help our teachers and to read or work with students in various capacities is both helpful to our students and our teachers. All help is greatly appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering, please call the school office at 938-2028.

Visitors

To ensure the safety and welfare of every student at Woodstock Elementary, all visitors must report to the office for permission to visit upon entering the building. Authorized visitors will be issued a visitor's pass prior to visiting inside the school. We will be taking extreme measures to ensure the safety of our students.

Visitor Passes are available for:

Breakfast/Lunch pass - allows you to eat with the student during the scheduled breakfast/lunch time.

Conference Pass - Conferences must be scheduled at least one day in advance. This pass allows you to meet with the teacher concerning the student.

Volunteer pass - a time must be scheduled with the teacher in advance to work as needed.

Classroom Observations are scheduled on parenting days each semester. Please make plans to attend. Parents wishing to visit their child's classroom should obtain prior approval.
