Woodstock Elementary would like to welcome new students and families to our community. We are looking forward to a great new school year. In order to make preparations for the upcoming school year, new students are encouraged to enroll as soon as possible. The school office will be open from 8am to 3pm Monday through Thursday, July 5-31. If you are not able to come during office hours, please call to make an appointment with the school principal, Shea Essman.

WES Summer 2015 Programs
Summer Enrichment Camp:
July 13-17, 2015

Drop off from 7:30-8:00
Pick Up from 3:30-5:30
Cost: $10 per day
Come Join us for Summer Enrichment Camp sponsored by our 21st Century Community Learning Center Program. Our camp this year is all about fossils, dinosaurs, rocks & minerals. WE will spend the two weeks discoring more about these interesting topics. You will spend the morning participating in fun and engaging lessons that explore these topics while practiciing math and reading skills. in the afternoons, we will have science, art and recreation that involve the topics above.
We will go on 3 field trips. 2 trips to the movies and the last day will be spent at Shark Tooth Creek! Please call 938-2028 if you have not already registered your child.
Kindergarten Transition Program:
Students new to Kindergarten for the 2015-2016 school year may attend the 1/2 day Transition program at WES for the Weeks of July 13-16, and July 20-23. For more information please call 938-2028.
Alabama Reading Initiative
WES faculty and staff have been supporting the ARI literacy efforts since 2000. Instructional Coach, Stacie Gulley assists teachers and students with effective reading strategies and lessons for improved literacy.
Alabama Math Science & Technology Initiative
WES teachers have participated in ongoing AMSTI training and professional development to implement hands-on math & science activities to design meaningful, successful lessons.
21st Century Learning Community
WES is proud to offer extended day services for families each day. Students may attend each day at 7am and/or afternoons from 3pm to 6pm. Activities include snack & recreation, homework & tutoring, and daily enrichment.
