How to make the ID: looks like a worm with; thick-skin, pointed or rounded at one end and a set of disk-like spiracles at the other; adults look like giant mosquitoes

Its Color: brownish-green, whitish, transparent

How it reproduces: females deposit eggs on submerged vegetation or other debris.

Metamorphosis: Complete

Its food: plant and plant debris, but they are sometimes predators

Indicator: Moderately clean water, sometimes found in polluted water

Size: up to 3 inches
