TEXTBOOK REGULATIONS  

 

1.      All textbooks belong to the State of Alabama.

2.      Textbooks must not be damaged. Some of the damages to textbooks which will require payment from the parent or guardian are as follows:

a.      Page of contents missing.

b.      Water soaked, causing backs and pages to be swollen or molded.

c.      Physically marked with any kind of pen, pencil or crayon on the backs, fronts, or on any pages.

d.      Defaced or marred, such as broken, cut, or smeared backs or pages.

3.      Penalty for lost or damaged textbooks:

a.      Full price, if new when issued.

b.      Half price, if marked “good” or “fair” when issued.

c.      Price will be determined by principal if damaged book was marked “poor” when issued.

4.      No textbooks will be issued to any student until parents have made payment for lost or damaged textbooks.

5.      All textbooks must be returned to the teacher or paid for in the office.

6.      The principal and the teachers have the authority to approve or disapprove the condition of a textbook on issue and return.
