The faculty and staff of Brent Elementary School are looking forward to working with you and your child during the 2009-2010school year. Each teacher’s primary goal is to give your child the best education possible. The teachers and administration will be glad to meet with you to discuss any problems concerning your child’s progress in school. Each teacher has two afternoons set aside each week for parent/teacher conferences. Please call the school for appointments with the administration or teacher before coming to school. By doing this, you will be assured of having ample time to discuss any problem you might have with the appropriate person. I encourage you to meet with and discuss your child’s progress with his/her teacher.

            Brent Elementary School has an “Open Door” Policy concerning visitation at the school. Parents can come by the school office anytime throughout the school day and get a visitor’s pass to visit your child’s classroom. However, no parent should go into the classroom and interrupt the teacher in any way. You are invited to sit in the classroom and observe. If you desire a parent/teacher conference, the school secretary will be glad to schedule one for you.

            We ask that you limit your calls to the school. If your child is sick and needs to go home, we will call you and let you know immediately.

            In your Parent Folder you will find information that will be helpful throughout the school year. Please take an extra moment to familiarize yourself with all policies and procedures.
