Sally Adams is a life long resident of Brent having been born here and
raising her family in Brent. She attended Brent Elementary followed by
graduation from Bibb County High. She received her bachelor's degree from
Auburn University and later her master's degree from the University of
Montevallo. She is married and has two children and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Adams has taught at Brent Elementary since 1990, teaching all
grades, sixth, fifth, and fourth grades. She enjoys teaching in her
hometown where she knows many of the parents and grandparents of the
children that she teaches. Currently teaching fourth grade, Mrs. Adams
says that teaching and students have changed over the years. With the
recent efforts to differentiate teaching, she spends much more time with
individual students assessing and addressing their needs. Mrs. Adams
plans to teach several more years before going home to be a full time
