Bibb County Schools Foundation A third party, non-profit, charitable organization, the BCSF was formed to develop supportive community and private sector relationships with the Bibb County School System. The foundation was formed for the purpose of collecting and distributing contributions from individuals, business, and organizations for the benefit of the students in the Bibb County Public Schools. The trustees are comprised of a cross section of community leaders and ex-officio members from the school board. The foundation is a means by which citizens and organizations may collectively impact the quality of education in Bibb County. The Purpose The primary purpose of the BCSF is to serve as a private partner of the Bibb County public schools, providing grants to support programs and teaching projects for which funds are not available from federal, state and local sources. The foundation goals are as follows:
The Projects The BCSF enbcourages projects which emphasize new approaches to teaching and innovative programs which stimulate and expand the basic curriculum. Proposals for new programs to be funded by the foundation may be submitted by teachers, principals, and administrators. Foundation grants are awarded for innovative instructional programs and new ventures for the school system in order to provide opportunities that enrich and enhance the quality of education for students in Bibb County. The Contributors Providing members of the Bibb County community with the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people, the BCSF is an investment in the future. Whether your contribution is $5 or $5,000, your donation will help to improve the quality of education in the Bibb County School System. All contributions are tax deductible. Persons who donate $500 or more will be designated as a Sustaining Donor. Their names will be listed on a special plaque which will be displayed in the Board of Education Conference Room.
