MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Strength and Conditioning Department to encourage each
student-athlete to strive for excellence in the classroom, weight room, and
field. Our goal is to provide each athlete with personalized instruction and
workouts tailored for each individual athlete’s strength level.
Our primary objectives are to teach the proper fundamentals of strength
and conditioning, enhance athletic performance, and minimize the risk of injury.
The Bibb County High School Football Strength and Conditioning Program consist
of a year-round periodization designed to improve speed, power and strength of
each student-athlete. The training plan consists of four phases (postseason,
offseason, preseason, and in- season), all of which range from low to high
intensities. This will ensure proper strength gain for each athlete and allow
them to peak properly during competition.
Each of the following training components will be met during each year:
energy system development, linear speed development, lateral speed and agility
development, ground based movements, explosive training, torso training, and
flexibility.
