The following should be brought to class every day

Loose leaf paper in a three ring binder

Pencil with an eraser

Algebra II Book

Calculator – You will need a scientific calculator. It is recommended that you purchase a graphing calculator. I will be using a TI-83 calculator for instruction in the classroom.

Grade Components

1.There will be at least 5 tests per grading period. These will be 65% of your

grade. The lowest of these can be used for a drop grade. The following are

options you have if you are absent and miss a test.

         A. The test you miss can be used as your drop grade.

         B. If your absence is excused and you want to make-up the test then the

             following rules apply

                  1. You will have to make-up the test on Wednesday after school

                       from 3:00 until 4:00.

                  2. You will be given a different test.

                  3.  If the class test grades were scaled the scale will not be added

                       to the make-up test.

2. Homework will be checked. Each assignment will count 10 points. At the end

of the grading period the homework will be added and count as 20% of your

    grade.

3. Most days at the start of class you will be given a warm-up exercise that will

count 5 points each. These will be taken up and graded at the end of each 4.5

weeks. This will count as 5% of your grade.

4. Projects will be done during the semester. Points will be discussed at the time

     the project is assigned.

5. A comprehensive test will be given at the end of each 4.5 weeks. This will

count as 10% of your grade.

Tutoring is on Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 until 4:00
